ConnectionsCompiling a bank of questioning strategies will help you as you develop lessons for your students. The Question Formulation Technique (QFT) is a strategy for all learners to help them create good questions they can use during the learning process. It was developed by Dan Rothstein and Luz Santana at Harvard University and is featured in the book, Make Just One Change. The steps of the QFT are purposefully designed to stimulate three types of thinking: divergent thinking, convergent thinking, and metacognitive thinking.
